Free Lunch for PSAPs?

Free Lunch for PSAPs?
2:34

These have been exciting times for us at Intrado with respect to our PSAP facing offerings. In June we announced LifeHub, our cloud native call handling solution with geo-redundant high availability, fast deployment, i3 support and a bunch of other good things.

Earlier, in March, we announced our flagship call handling solution, VIPER, was now available as a CalOES certified private hosted solution in California. Hosted VIPER, or VIPER as a Service, is our first CHaaS (Call Handling as a Service) offering and brings the same, familiar VIPER UI/UX to the hybrid cloud version of the product – making it fast and easy for experienced users to get up to speed and be productive right away.

We have also had a lot of people asking us about what’s new with ECaTS, the industry’s leading NG 9-1-1 analytics and reporting package. Back in June, we announced a couple new ECaTS features. One is our NG911 Dashboard, which gives emergency call centers and service coordinators the best possible view into ESInet activity. We also announced Wireless Routing Analysis, a package that helps PSAPs better understand how inbound calls are routed, allowing better cooperation and coordination with local wireless providers to ensure the best possible emergency response.

Now, you ask, what about that free lunch? Isn’t it well known that there is no such thing?

In this case, at least for the PSAP, there really is a free lunch and it is the package we call Spatial Insight. When a PSAP sends responders into an emergency, information in the form of a clear view into the situation on the ground is critical. For large buildings, like schools, an address alone is not enough – you need a floor plan. If a car or other vehicle is involved, you may want to have telematics including air bag deployments, passenger count and other information. If the caller has an iPhone or Android there may be additional medical information available.

Spatial Insight can be deployed as an integration to Intrado call handling, it also integrates with 3rd party call handling and can even be deployed in stand-alone mode. Regardless you get all the maps and floor plans that we announced with GeoComm.

What about the “free” part? It isn’t really free, is it?

No, it is in fact, free. Not freemium, or free trial. Just free, as in zero cost, for the PSAP. It is fast and easy to get going, too. Just fill out the form here: https://go.intrado.com/spatial-insight

That’s Intrado. Always there in an emergency.
