Regional Co‐location. A physical location that houses IEN Voice‐specific equipment (primarily trunk gateways) and
terminates carrier interconnections (primarily CAMA, PRI, and SS7 bearer trunks). VoIP calls and SS7 signaling enter the
IEN voice domain via other entry points. RCLs are deployed based on customer deployment planning processes; a given
RCL can support multiple PSAPs.
