Pilot #

Definition:

Pilot number usually refers to a trunk group implementation. A trunk group is a set of individual circuits or trunks. Each
trunk can be individually addressed and the trunk group can also be addressed as a group. The pilot number is the
telephone number that addresses the trunk group as a whole. Directing a call to a trunk group pilot number should
cause an available member of the trunk group to be selected.
