Pseudo ANI. Also known as routing number. Pseudo ANI is also a generic term for ESRD or ESRK. When an ANI is
unavailable, some wireless and VoIP networks supply a pseudo ANI instead which can be used to look up an ESN. In
wireless 9‐1‐1, this is a ten‐digit number used in place of the mobile phone number, which permits routing information
to be sent to the wireline 9‐1‐1 system over the SS7 network. It may be associated with the wireless cell sector that
received the initial call or it may be associated with the PSAP to which the call should be routed. Also known as a routing
number.
