ESSID

Definition:

Electronic Switching System Identification. Every selective router has a unique two‐character code assigned by the host
service provider. For IEN routing, the ESSID indicates the legacy selective router that is being replaced.

SSN

Sub‐system Number. Identifies the sub‐system within an SS7 network element.
