Computer Aided Dispatch. CAD systems are automated systems operated by emergency service agencies to assist dispatch activities within the area served by the agency. These systems can be programmed to accept data from the 9‐1‐1 system to enhance regular dispatch activities. CAD systems are generally maintained and serviced by the emergency service agency and are usually separate systems from the 9‐1‐1 phone system.
