Administrative Emergency Service Number. An Admin ESN is a three‐ to five‐digit alphanumeric code that represents an Emergency Service Zone (ESZ). It is used in MSAG, for ALI retrieval, and in ALI displays. The Admin ESN provides an English Language Translation (ELT) of the emergency service agencies that serve a particular ESZ. The Admin ESN will change whenever the areas of responsibility of emergency service providers change.
